One Last Dance
Hello everyone,
I apologize for not writing last week. I will do my best to be better at these emails as I'm finishing up. We have had some of the most miracle-filled two weeks ever.
We had a couple of amazing families be baptized. I'll share a couple of the experiences.
Bridgett, Aliyah, and Felix were all baptized last Saturday. A month ago, Elder Johnson and I prayed for a family of 4 with a mom and 3 kids. We specifically prayed that only 2 of the kids would be able to be baptized. That very same day we found this family, and they loved their baptism and love coming to church.
On April 1st, we found a family from Venezuela that had been here for only 10 days. We were able to help them set a goal to be married and baptized at the end of April. It was chaotic and stressful, but we were able to help them get their marriage license, and this last Sunday they were married and baptized with their kids after church.
There were a few more people baptized these last couple of weeks, and they have been so joyful since their baptisms, and the peace they've felt has been life-changing.
We have our friend named Yajaira. A month ago we knocked on her door. She seemed nice, and we scheduled a time to go back with her. We went back to teach her, and she immediately accepted baptism, saying she could feel something different every time we were in her house. The last time we were over, she shared an experience she had. She is going through a hard time with her husband, and she hasn't been doing well. She prayed to God to send a sign and promised she'd follow that sign. A few hours later, we knocked on her door. She was originally going to be baptized on May 11th.
This last Friday she told us she was going through a miserable time at home. She snuck out to the church, and we were able to talk to her. We promised her that whatever thought was in her mind at that time, she needed to act on it. She decided to be baptized the next day. She said she's never felt peace or happiness like this before and couldn't be more full of gratitude for her Savior Jesus Christ.
"...but they were all made free, and partakers of the heavenly gift."
I'm loving this. I officially only have two transfers left. Doing my best to leave it all on the table.
Con amor,
