Families Are Forever

Thanksgiving week really opened up my eyes to how much I have to be grateful for. I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving and have been able to see how blessed we all are.    On Tuesday we were going to teach Brian but we got to the members house and they made us wait 15 minutes for the Mexico World Cup game to end...we were nervous about the lesson afterwards but it went well because he called us on Saturday night asking if we could fast with him for his dad's heart to be softened. Such an amazing kid.    Thanksgiving away from family was especially hard this time, but I'm grateful I got to spend it here too. We had two members feed us, one from the English ward and one from our branch. Funnest meals ever. The people here are what makes it all worth it. Nobody I could be more grateful to serve.    On Friday we knocked a ton of doors and we randomly knocked on this door and 5 Hispanic ladies were inside with one of their husbands and they heard our Spani...

This week FLEW by which is always a good thing. It had some awesome ups and some very low lows. If you don't read any of this, read the spiritual thought:) Last Monday we went tracting with Brayan (our branch mission leader) and it was so fun. He rapped for us all night long which was pretty sick. It was snowing and he kept acting like it was Star Wars he is like 6 years old. Funniest dude.  On Tuesday we saw so much rejection at doors and honestly, I love it. It fuels me. We got hard core bashed. It was in Spanish too which doesn't ever happen. He was asking us the most outrageous questions. People are funny. We ate at Brayan's with his family and taught them a cool lesson which involved fire and next thing you know Elder Burns accidentally lit both his hands fully on fire it was so dang funny watching it.  On Thursday we drove up to Springfield for exchanges and I got to go with my man Elder PiƱa which was easily one of my favorite days of the mission. He was hyping me up...

What is up friends and family? Officially been a missionary for 3 months which is wild. This week wasn't the most eventful unfortunately but that'll happen out here.   On Thursday I got to go down to Bentonville for a meeting with all the people who I came out with and the highlight easily was getting to see the temple. The Bentonville Temple is so pretty and those who know me know I'm so homesick for the temple so it was good to at least see it:)   On Saturday morning we taught our guy Brian again. He read the Book of Mormon and prayed every day this week. He said his days "just feel better man." Seriously so amazing. He is so prepared, ready, and couldn't be more excited to be baptized.    We had the primary program this Sunday and we had to combine it with the English ward. Best moment of my week was when they sang the first verse of "I am a Child of God" in Spanish and it was so spiritual. Couldn't help but not think of Paige during it so tha...

You'll Have That On These Bigger Jobs

Hey everyone, how are we all doin? This week had so many downs and so many ups which sucked but was awesome.   Last Monday was halloween and halloween as a missionary sucks but halloween kind of already sucks so that was fine. We all got milkshakes one last time before people got transferred:(. Our Zone Leaders came down and nobody had any more miles so 8 people slept at our apartment. Easily the funnest night I've probably ever had.    On Wednesday our district council turned into a testimony meeting and it was so powerful. Everyone was in tears hahaha it was so good. That evening we went and knocked on some doors in Merriam Woods which is the hood of Branson and basically tons of german shepherds just roamed around. It was so sketchy. I pet one though, thought it was going to eat me but still did it. Beastmode.    Friday was transfer day so we said bye to the people leaving which was kind of sad but oh well. We had our branch Dia De Los Muertos party and it wa...
