1 Month Baby!
What's up again friends and fam!! It's so crazy to think I have been a missionary for a month now! I love it so much and wouldn't trade this opportunity for anything.
This week was another banger, I love the MTC so much. To be completely honest, there has only been 1 time where I was homesick and that was last Saturday knowing my fam was gettin to watch college football but luckily there were hundreds of Elders here that missed it too so that helped a lot. Go cougs and I heard those fraud Utes lost in Florida:)
On Saturday Night though I had a special moment where I heard the piano being played and I knew it was familiar so I hurried to find it and it turns out one of the guys in my district was playing a Coldplay song Noah used to play 24/7 at home. It was a special moment for me to know the Lord is always watching over us.
As weird as it sounds for me, choir is by far one of my favorite parts of the week. We get to leave class and all of the Elders and Sisters go into the auditorium and belch a Spanish hymn. The spirit is seriously so strong here, but especially in that building, at that time. The Army of God is so strong and it is so inspiring to hear everyone singing so powerfully. Even though we do not understand the words.
The language is definitely improving a ton and I do feel like I am being blessed while I am trying to learn it but I still can't understand a dang thing when my teachers talk fast so the field is gonna be a rude awakening.
Tuesday and Wednesday were so fun. We had an opportunity to listen to Elder Uchtdorf on Tuesday Night while he was speaking in Provo and his message of all of us not being perfect and our intentions are what matter was so amazing to hear. He talked about not getting down, and focusing on the Lord's hand in our lives and the positive things we all have going for us. Wednesday we got to hear from the Sunday School President of the church. He served a mission in Madrid, Spain, and served as a mission president in the Barcelona, Spain mission. He talked about what it means to live the gospel and that everything comes from faith in Christ, and feeling promptings of the Holy Ghost. Such a banger.
All of the elders in my house are so lit. I love them all so much. Gym time is my greatest blessing here. Nothing like gettin in my bag against all of these scrubs. Joking, there are actually dudes that slam it on my face but that's alright. It's nice to get out of class for a little bit and ball up with a few guys from my district, and like the entire MTC.
Food still sucks so bad it's a guessing game for what the meat is everyday but it has just made me realize how much I miss food at home. I am so lucky my mom has sent me food I would have died. I pray that my trainer takes me to Panda Express our first meal out.
Spiritual thought for the week is:
Alma 34:17-27. Encourage you all to read and pray as often as you can:)
I miss you all so much, I would love to hear from you guys!!!
