Weeks 1-2!!

Hola Amigos!

Weeks 1-2 in the MTC are complete. I have loved every second of it. The spirit that I feel is so strong, and it has me so excited to get to Mexico with everyone. I fly out tomorrow morning, which is kind of terrifying. My companion, Elder Burrell, is awesome. I was able to go to Kamas and meet him at the South Summit Fair. It was so fun, and so much different than Draper. He came down for my farewell the next day, along with a few other guys from my district. My district is so amazing, and the bond that we have already is so special!

Hermano Canche is one of my teachers and it is the funniest thing I have ever seen. He is such a humble and wholesome guy, and always has the biggest smile on his face. The love that he has for my district is so evident, and we all love him too. He has a weird obsession with Nerd Gummy Clusters, so we all promised to bring him a few packages haha. It has me so excited to get into the field and feel so much love for all of the people that I have the opportunity to serve!

I spent the last two weeks playing pickleball basically every night and hanging out with my family as much as I can. I am going to miss them a ton:(. Also got my last fade from my guy Joel so check pictures for that!

A mission is exactly where I need to be in life! There is no denying that. I have already been so blessed and can see the Lord’s hand in my life more than I ever have before. The spirit is so strong in all of my new friends, and every missionary that I have crossed paths with the last two weeks. One spiritual thought I have is found in Alma.

Alma 26:11 “but Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.” I know that these next two years will try and test me a lot, but I know that I can not do it myself. I have to rely on the Lord's help in my life. I encourage all of you to read the Book of Mormon, it will bless your lives’ every day.

I love you all, and would love to hear from you guys!
